The Rental Girl Presents: Agent Spotlight
We are so excited to announce our new Valley agent, Vanessa! ?
Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I’m originally from Orange County and moved up to LA in 2011 after getting my BFA from Chapman University. I moved to LA to become and actor and quickly realized Real Estate is my calling! I also have the most adorable cat in the world, Joey. He should be insta famous.
What’s your favorite aspect of being a realtor?
I love when I have a listing and I find the right tenant. I feel like a matchmaker. I get so excited I feel like I’m moving in too!
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
I am a certified Bar Method instructor! I have been teaching for 5 years, and it’s still something I love to do. Plus it’s the only workout I enjoy doing.
What’s your all-time favorite spot in your territory?
Fryman Canyon! It’s a great hike up in the hills of Studio City. It’s an awesome way to disconnect from technology and feel surrounded by nature without having to go too far!
How would you describe your neighborhood/territory?
Relaxed and convenient. I love how easy it is to get around in the Valley. Plus, you can park everywhere!
If your neighborhood was on a dating app, who would be the perfect match to move into the hood?
The Valley is honestly perfect from anyone who likes to be close to the city, but not live in the city. It has amazing schools, fantastic restaurants and shops, and you’re just a 101 ride away from Hollywood
How long have you lived in LA?
I’ll have been an LA resident for 8 years! I honestly can’t imagine living anywhere else.
What’s your biggest piece of advice for someone interested in applying to a property you’re leasing?
I think the right attitude and good communication are the most important things when applying for an apartment. Landlords love to hear in a cover letter that you’re excited about the property. They want to know that you will love it as much as they do. And if I can get ahold of you when running your application it makes it so much easier to get you approved!
What’s the most quintessential LA thing about your neighborhood? Best cliche activity?
I’d have to say Universal Studios is a
must, and so very LA. I have done the backlot tour so many times I feel like I work there. I also LOVE The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I mean who doesn’t love some magic and butter beer?!
Best street for splurging? What’s your go-to store?
Ventura Blvd. has EVERYTHING. It also is basically the length of the valley. You’ll soon find out the valley has every restaurant and shop you could ever dream of.
Best way to get around the neighborhood?
Definitely by car. The valley is pretty spread out, so I suggest rolling down the windows, putting on a good playlist, and enjoying the ride!
What’s on your LA Bucket List this year?
I know this sounds crazy, but I might want to go skydiving. I am 51% sure I can make this happen, but I’m also extremely afraid of heights, so we’ll see!
