FALL 2015 HOT RESTAURANTS IN LOS ANGELES

FALL 2015 HOT RESTAURANTS IN LOS ANGELES

ATTENTION: Calling all Angeleno foodies–overwhelmed with the multitude of new restaurants and bars constantly opening up in Los Angeles, and don’t know where to plan your next mouth-watering adventure? Infatuation LA, a food blog that shares “restaurant reviews for the people”, recently highlighted the must-go-to spots this fall in their recent article “The Fall 2015 Los Angeles Hit List“. From Silver Lake to DTLA to Santa Monica, the list explores the entire city via delicious food (I mean, isn’t that the best way to explore any city?) Also, this list is super helpful to those new to Los Angeles: checking out new or hot restaurants can be a great road map to familiarizing yourself with different neighborhoods around the city and finding out which areas are fun and happening.

Here at The Rental Girl, we always have an eye for beautiful interiors, as well as our stomachs, and we were mighty impressed with the architecture of some of these new restaurants. Here were a few spots that caught our eye:

Hatchet Hall

12517 W. Washington Blvd., Culver City

One of the Westside’s better-known restaurant spaces recently went under the knife (RIP Waterloo & City) and came out the other side looking like a Southern gentleman. Or whatever the restaurant equivalent of that is. The team behind Hart and The Hunter and Ladies’ Gunboat Society are doing a low country-tinged menu with some California influence at Hatchet Hall. Don’t miss that secret speakeasy bar in the back.

Clifton’s Cafeteria

648 S. Broadway, Downtown

Attention: The initial Clifton’s frenzy has subsided and you’re safe to attend without a terrible wait. The food is solid enough, but will always pale in comparison to the wonderland happening around you. Want to eat your mashed potatoes in a mystical forest of rocky outcroppings and hidden castles? Clifton’s is your spot.

BCN

8719 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood

It’s bikini season! And by that we actually mean really thin, really delicious Spanish-style panini sandwiches in the heart of Weho. BCN is a bright, order-at-the-counter spot quietly serving up authentic Barcelona street food in the best way possible: Delicious, affordable and on-the-go. We only hope its health-obsessed neighborhood will put its protein shake down and give it a try.

From the rustic, Southern design of Hatchet Hall, to the mystical wonderland interior of Clifton’s, to the sleek, modern space of BCN, the unique architecture of these new spots proves that design is equally important, if not more important in some cases, than the menu itself. Plus, pretty places make your food taste better, right?
