The Rental Girl Presents: Agent Spotlight
Want to be in the know with all things cool and fresh in city living? Of course you do! Get to know our Downtown Agent Fallon!
Tell me a little bit about yourself? Where are you from? What do you like? What brought you to TRG?
Whenever I get this question I always feel a bit weird because I don’t have one single place I’m “from”. I’m a product of multiple cultures, climates, and countries. Long story short, my father was in the military so I grew up moving every 3 years for his work. I can say the coolest place I’ve lived was in Heidelberg, Germany! Ich vermisse Deutschland!
What ultimately lead me to TRG and a path down real estate was HGTV. Haha silly but true! One day I was watching a show on HGTV and it just kind of clicked. I was feeling a bit lost in my career path and needed a new avenue. The next day I saw an ad for an assistant position with an agent from The Rental Girl. Competition for this position was fierce but I prevailed! I assisted the Los Feliz agent for a total of two years and after graduating college, became a licensed agent myself. I am now the official agent for the DTLA, Chinatown, and East LA area. Woot woot!
What is your favorite part about being an agent?
I love when someone is really excited about a home and I help them rent or own it! I know that feeling when you just walk into a place and it’s the one. Those butterflies are real! I get to help people feel that type of happiness.
What is your favorite restaurant or place to eat in your rental neighborhood ?
My fave spot for food would be DTLA. There is just so much to choose from! If I had to pick one DTLA spot it would be Kazunori. Have you ever had a Japanese hand roll? If not, check out this unique culinary experience with bar seating, sushi, and sake! Plan ahead because the line can get pretty long during peak hours haha
How would you describe your neighborhood/territory?
Hustling and bustling! There is always something to do, places to go, or people to see in the center of downtown.
What is a hidden/undiscovered attraction or eatery in your neighborhood?
The Row DTLA! I don’t think too many people know about this new retail and restaurant mega-center on the outskirts of central DTLA. The Row is so cool! It’s home to Smorgasburg on Sundays, Poketo, Tokyo Bike, Cafe Dulce, and more! Hip spots are always popping up here, don’t miss out!
What travel location is on your bucket list to visit in the next year?
Seoul! I am actually taking Korean language classes and would love to visit my old roommate in Korea to test out my new skills.
What is your favorite historical spot in your neighborhood? Museum?
The Bradbury Building is a beaut! Built in 1893, The Bradbury Building is rich in history. If the iron work, skylit atrium, and overall elegance of the building take your breath away too much, head to Blue Bottle Coffee right next door to relax and recharge.
What is the best car alternative to get around your neighborhood?
Metro Metro Metro! When I can, I try to take the metro into each of my hoods (dtla, chinatown, and east la) to save on the stress of parking, traffic, and gas. Metro is like $1.75 each way, it’s a no brainer!
What is your favorite way to spend your weekends?
My ideal weekend is going on a long walk with my dogs, and stopping off at Alfreds for an iced caramel latte. The rest of the day would be spent relaxing or cleaning (which is relaxing to me haha!) I’d end the day cooking a meal at home and vegging out on the couch with some tv on.
