SILVERLAKE IS LANDING THE FIRST, “AFFORDABE” 365 BY WHOLE FOODS MARKET

Whole Foods made an exciting announcement earlier this year that the chain would be releasing a “convenient, stream-lined, value-oriented”, or in other words affordable, new grocery store. Whole Foods’ 365 Everyday Value Brand, which we’ve all seen in the stores and often favored for its lower prices, is now going to lead Whole Foods’ new grocery store format. “365” by Whole Foods will be a smaller, simpler way of shopping quality and healthy foods at a more affordable value. Broke but health-conscious LA citizens unite!

Ever since the news was dropped in June, Whole Foods shoppers and fans have been eagerly awaiting the official release date of “365”. After much anticipation, the first five locations have been announced and 2 of the 5 will be in Los Angeles. SCORE! Silver Lake will be the first to receive a “365” store, just a mile away from the Silver Lake Trader Joe’s (competition?), during the first half of 2016. Whole Foods will be installing a “365” in Santa Monica soon thereafter. Curbed LA explains more details here, and features a cool, initial rendering of the store.

Here’s a couple videos of Jeff Turnas, President of “365”, explaining the new concept.
